The Nancy F. Marino Prize
for Best Essay in Hispanomedieval Studies
delivered at a conference in 2019-2020.
The Nancy F. Marino Prize honors the contribution of Professor Marino to the profession, in particular her devotion and dedication to the many colleagues and students in Hispanomedieval Studies she mentored and inspired in her role as a founder of IMANA and as facilitator for the field each year at the International Congress on Medieval Studies at Kalamazoo.
The Marino Prize recognizes excellent Hispanomedieval scholarship in an essay of outstanding quality written by a graduate student or early career scholar and presented at a conference in 2019 or the first half of 2020 (through June 1).
The winning paper is determined by a panel of judges, selected annually by La corónica. The early career scholar whose essay is chosen will be announced on La corónica Commons.
