Message to the IMANA community from Robin Bower, Associate Professor of Spanish (Penn State U, Beaver Campus):

Although IMANA is still amorphous and unofficial, we did have a record crop of sessions on the 2023 ICMS roster, and can certainly hope to match that in 2024. IMANA remains important as a framework that encompasses our interests and our work and provides a common designator allowing us to find each other in Michigan or in cyberspace come May.

Please consider proposing a session for the 2024 conference. Session proposals are due June 1.

Just provide the required components outlined in the attached session proposal guide, and all of your contact information, and absent any objection, I’ll forward proposals to Marjorie Harrington as IMANA-sponsored.

If you’d be interested in co-sponsorship with any other sponsoring organization, please indicate that as well, and reach out as needed. ASPHS is certainly open to collaboration, as are others, I’m sure.

I know we all agree it was great to reunite in Kalamazoo and be in the rooms together again, so, let’s get Imana on the books for 2024.
