| About | I am a historian specialized in the Middle and Modern Ages, with a particular interest in the analysis of primary sources and the construction of historical discourses around the Vega of Granada and the Wars of Granada. My research career began with the Master’s thesis “Bibliography and Sources for the study of the Vega de Granada and the Soto de Roma in the Middle and Modern Ages”, developed in the EURAME program, which allowed me to deepen in the critical use of historical and bibliographical documentation. Subsequently, I published an article in the journal Escurialensia: Una aproximación al paisaje del pasado andalusí y nazarí granadino. Currently, I am working on my doctoral thesis under the direction of Professor McCallister: “From Nasrid manuscript to Christian rhetoric: Comparing discourses on the Capitulation of Granada and the 15th century landscape”. This research seeks to shed new light on a little-studied, but fundamental manuscript for understanding discourses surrounding the Capitulation of Granada and the late fifteenth-century landscape. My goal is to contribute to historical knowledge with rigorous research that connects the analysis of the sources with the broader understanding of the cultural and political processes of the Iberian Peninsula. |
